So sorry to hear about Wookie. I know the soft spot in your heart for each of your furry friends. I'm glad to see you have started to find healing. Music is my "healing" medium, so I understand how just exercising your craft is a great way to take the next step.

And if you try out for Daddy Warbucks...

Don't be surprised when you "out-play" yourself and wind up with EVERY possible part in the chorus because they need the versatility of your abilities and the recognition of the local news anchor... :)

This tugged my heart so much that tears just spilled forth. It's always hard to loose a furry best friend. Rest in peace, Wookie.

Man... that post really hits home. I miss theatre so much! I have always been a behind the scenes kind of guy, and I like it that way. Something about making the magic happen just really gets my blood pumping. Sadly, the only thing around here is community theatre and I really have too many irons in the fire. Maybe someday soon I will find the time.

Go hit those auditions and get the "big" part (Seeing as how there are no small parts!). Let us know, and we might have to make a trip out to see the show!

Hey, Dan! Great to see you this past week at Ridgecrest. Glad you enjoyed the retreat. I came home blessed, refreshed and with some great inspiration to dive back into my WIP.

Great column over on Tiff's site! Thanks for letting us know about it at the retreat.

So,Dan, what did you end up saying your story was? I mean what genre? Just contemporary fiction? I'm guessing that would do it myself, but what do I know?
I'm so glad you had such great meetings, and it was really nice to meet you and hear some of your stories. I've been revising - it's going well and I don't think it's going to be as hard as I initially imagined.
Cya!

It's important your journey of healing has begun. Every animal who has passed through my life has taken a piece of my heart when their space is empty. My joy is in having known and loved them and knowing we'll meet again on the other side of the veil.

God's blessings on you, yours and the work of your hands and heart.
